The water changes the perspective
Ocean Reef brings a different setting to a search for a home in Panama City. The islands place water, terraces and the skyline at the centre of the experience. For someone drawn to an outdoor rhythm without giving up a city address, that relationship is the starting point.
Within Ocean Reef, Club Residences and The Palms Beach Resort offer two distinct residential collections. Each deserves its own look: a terrace, floor plan or shared space belongs to a particular building and residence. Start with the way you want to live, then compare the homes that support it.

Club Residences: the terrace as another room
The Club Residences designs connect living areas, kitchens and terraces. In the project imagery, the outlook remains part of the interior: seating faces the water, dining areas sit close to the open air, and planted exterior spaces soften the building’s edges.
The floor plans vary by apartment and level. When choosing a layout, consider the route from kitchen to terrace, the separation between bedrooms and shared rooms, and where a desk might fit. A generous outdoor area becomes more useful when its proportions suit the table, chairs and everyday activities you actually have in mind.

The Palms: a smaller building scale
On Island II, The Palms Beach Resort takes a low-rise approach. Its design describes buildings with one or two apartments per floor, large terraces, gardens and paths. Horizontal architectural lines help the residences sit within the landscape rather than dominate it.
This arrangement makes the relationship between the apartment and its surroundings worth studying closely. Look at the position of the terrace, the outlook from the principal rooms and the route from the entrance to shared spaces. A building with fewer neighbours on each level can appeal to someone who values a more intimate residential scale, while individual layouts still need to be compared.

Start with the way you want to live; let the floor plan make the next decision.
A day shaped around the outdoors
The Palms’ amenity programme centres on water and open-air living. Recreational and lap pools serve different rhythms; oceanfront decks, cabanas and a beach area provide places to pause between them. The programme also includes a gym, yoga, a meditation area and spaces for outdoor cooking and gathering.
These are The Palms’ residential facilities. The wider Ocean Reef offering includes a marina, yacht club and other island facilities with separate arrangements; some carry additional charges. If boating, fitness or entertaining is central to your plans, ask which services accompany the specific residence and which require a separate membership or booking.

Compare the homes, not just the address
A shared island setting does not make the two collections interchangeable. Club Residences deserves attention for its apartment layouts and indoor-outdoor connections. The Palms adds a different building scale and a defined resort-style programme. The best comparison places the actual residences side by side.
During a viewing or a plan review, give attention to details that broad project descriptions cannot settle:
- Which direction does this terrace face, and where will you sit in shade?
- How do the bedrooms, living areas and work spaces relate to one another?
- Which amenities belong to this building, and what access is included?
- What is the current condition or project stage of the exact residence?
Build your Ocean Reef shortlist
Tell the Mundo team whether you picture a full-time home, a place for longer visits or a base that brings you back to Panama regularly. Add the number of bedrooms you need, how much time you expect to spend outside, and whether boating or shared leisure spaces matter to you.
We can help you focus the conversation on Club Residences, The Palms or a comparison of both. Request the current floor plan and details for the homes you want to explore, then arrange a viewing around those priorities. Pricing is currently shown as N/A; ask the team for an update when you enquire.
